ABOUT THE PARRISH ART MUSEUM
Founded in 1897 as the Art Museum of Southampton, the Parrish Art Museum is devoted to the collection, preservation, interpretation and dissemination of American art with particular focus on the art of the East End of Long Island. The museum's collections include 19th, 20th, and 21st century works in all media from American artists including Thomas Moran, Chuck Close, John Chamberlain, Jennifer Bartlett, Donald Sultan, Elizabeth Peyton, and Alfonso Ossorio. Long Island artists include Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Dan Flavin, Willem de Kooning, and Roy Lichtenstein.
